I’m Tadas Kliučinskas. I paint abstracts and the Baltic coast in Vilnius, Lithuania, and release the work as archival Giclée prints from €75. Painting was never the plan — it arrived sideways, in a studio at the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
It started with a monotype assignment
How a painting becomes a print
Each painting is scanned at high resolution. The grain stays and the edges stay: the file is a record of the object, not a redesign of it.
Prints are made as museum-quality Giclée with pigment inks on 100% cotton rag — from €75, framed or ready to frame, in sizes from 12 × 16 to 41 × 83 inches (30 × 40 to 104 × 211 cm). Originals are one of one and leave the studio with clear provenance: ask what is available.
Paintings are energy. I don’t stop until the work starts to sound — but I always know when it is finished.
The long way round
Born and raised in Vilnius, with one academic year of high school in the USA. As a teenager I was impressed by large sums of money and men in suits with determined chins, so I studied international trade. Media planning came next, then a general finance broker’s licence — two weeks in that job was enough, and I went back to the craft.
Later I enrolled at the Vilnius Academy of Arts to study architecture, a family tradition. A monotype assignment there turned into a painting practice that never stopped: canvas, paper, ceramics and digital, abstraction and allegory about human relationships. Point, line and space opened up, and they keep opening.
Work from the studio: the Windy Sea Cycle and the Curonian Spit.
Archival Giclée prints start at €75, in sizes from 12 × 16 to 41 × 83 inches. For an original on canvas, paper or ceramic, ask what is available.
